MOA - Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine

From the professional to the recreational athlete, MOA has extensive experience in sports medicine. We provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of conditions related to sports injuries or overuse, such as stress fractures, tendonitis and bursitis, and traumatic injuries to tendons and ligaments in all joints.

Physiatry

Physiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating patients with nerve, muscle and bone injuries. As physical medicine and rehabilitation experts, physiatrists design treatment plans and use non-surgical treatments, including therapeutic exercise, biofeedback, electrotherapies, traction, and massage to help patients return to their sports and daily activities as soon as possible. When necessary, they refer patients to an appropriate surgeon. Physiatrists also prescribe medications and assistive devices, such as braces or artificial limbs. To learn more about the field of physiatry, visit The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation web site.

"We are extremely happy with all of the doctors at Monadnock Orthopaedics. Every player treated by MOA doctors has rebounded 100%. I even have players who feel better now than before they joined the team. And the practice is very friendly and accessible... they get back to you immediately and their follow-up is excellent."
